Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is an Canadian actress from Canada. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, which makes her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history.
