He is best known for his performances in Water Rats as Terry Watson, Alex Ryan and Matt Fletcher, both in McLeod's Daughters. Born in Howick, Auckland, Jeffery was able to move to Australia at the age of 17 and began studying acting at NIDA. He received his NIDA degree in 1993.
