Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, and teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton, the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her productions as a young girl and observing her mother at work. Anna appeared in numerous commercials when she was a child. Anna moved to Toronto in November 1999 to pursue her acting talents. After that, she settled in Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. They were married in a civil ceremony that was held in December, and then renew their vows during the form of a Jewish celebration in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism. Bo's similar-sex romance and Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was featured in CNN's list of all-time Favorite TV Couples and was named the top Television Couple of the year 2013 by E!
